I’ve never been a fan of “doing the bare minimum” or “whatever’s easiest and takes the least amount of effort, setup and cleanup”. I don’t have a problem with simple. Sometimes less is more. I have a problem with easy because easy usually means lazy and if you’re going to be lazy, why even bother?
I’ve always believed that anything worth doing is worth doing well…joyfully. Do it right or don’t do it. If you’re going to decorate, go all out. If you’re going to host a dinner, be a gracious, hospitable host. If you’re going to be romantic, be a hopeless romantic. If you’re going to accept a job, do it right, do it well and be the best at it. Don’t cover up your dirt; clean it.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 ESV
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…Colossians 3:23-24 ESV
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, [24] knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.Ephesians 6:7 ESV
rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man,Romans 14:8 ESV
For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
