Truth is loving. Truth always wins out.

We lie to avoid tough conversations. That is not loving…it’s selfish.

We lie to deflect responsibility. That is not loving…it’s selfish.

The Bible instructs us to speak the truth in love…because the truth is loving.

My dad always said that a half-truth was a whole lie.

Jesus says that He is Truth.

Jesus says that Satan is the father of lies. “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Jesus said that he would send the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, and he will guide you into all the truth. John says, “We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

How do we profess Jesus with our mouths and then lie and do not tell the truth?

How do we legitimize and rationalize lies when we know the origin of lies and the origin of truth?
